Style Issues

Style refers to grammar, punctuation, abbreviations and various conventions used in text, such as the rules involving the use of numbers and numerals or the proper use of nomeclature. For general business, technical, and scientific writing and editing, PWP, Ltd. follows the Chicago University Press's industry standard, The Chicago Manual of Style. For issues involving deeper scientific specialization, we consult the CSE Style Manual (Formerly The CBE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers), or The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, as appropriate. When editing a manuscript for a particular journal, however, we consult the guidelines listed in the "Information for Authors" page of that journal. Finally, for press releases or related periodical submissions, we follow The Associated Press Stylebook.
